Heritage Trades Workshop – Pirie Chambers, Broken Hill Stage 1

This five day training workshop is aimed at developing the knowledge of heritage trades amongst people who are working in the construction industry. The program will extend their understanding of Stone Conservation, Solid Rendering, Repointing, Breathable Paints Application and Lime Mortar Technology.

Training
Led by Keith McAllister of Applied Building Conservation Training (ABCT), the training will provide participants with the following theoretical and hands-on experience.

Pirie Chambers, Broken Hill

TravelĀ 
We ask that all participants travel on Sunday 14th April 2024, to attend the meet and greet.
Departing Friday 19th April at midday.

The cost of training will be:
Course Cost (including lunch and light refreshments) – $600

Accommodation
Participants will need to organise their own accommodation.

Catering
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided daily.

This is a great opportunity for construction workers (up-skill), homeowners and heritage professionals.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion in Heritage Trades.

He has demonstrated a commitment to the restoration and conservation of historic and ecclesiastical buildings in the UK, Europe and Australia, focusing on efficient and professional service. He has provided advice and assistance to government and professional organisations on conservation procedures and methods.
