Managing Director
Keith McAllister has over 30 years of experience in stone conservation and restoration. He studied in the UK in Architectural Stonemasonry and Building Conservation, has managed his own UK based companies and lectured in Stonemasonry at City of Bath College before emigrating to Australia in 1997. He has demonstrated a commitment to the restoration and conservation of historic and ecclesiastical buildings in the UK, Europe and Australia, focusing on efficient and professional service. He has provided advice and assistance to government and professional organisations on conservation procedures and methods.
He is a member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and Committee member of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
Project/ WHS Manager
Mark Whitcher studied Architectural Stonemasonry including Conservation and Restoration in the UK, gaining over 30 years’ experience in the industry. During this time, he project managed some of the UK’s most iconic landmarks and historic buildings, including the Houses of Parliament, The National Art Gallery and the Foreign Office.
Mark moved to Australia in 2003 and began employment with HSR (Aust) Group, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is the company’s Project/ WHS Manager, and as such, oversees the general daily on-site operations.

Mark has worked in the construction industry since the age of 17 when he was fortunate enough to get an apprenticeship in carpentry with Hansen Yuncken, this opportunity helped him to become a qualified carpenter/joiner.
During his construction and building career Mark progressed his career into the roles of leading hand, foreman, site management and project management, and worked with companies that include Hansen Yuncken, Cox Constructions, Normus Urban Projects, and Tagara Constructions.
Mark has also worked with public and private training providers throughout his construction and building career that has facilitated a full understanding of training from an employer and trainer perspective.
He brings to the HSR Group 40 years of building experience with a proven ability to build relationships in the competitive construction market. He has been involved in complex and award winning projects, delivered to the highest possible standard for the client.
Business Development Manager
Zoe McAllister graduated from UniSA in 2016, she has been heavily involved in providing services in Public Relations, Marketing and Event Management to various organisations. Zoe has now decided to further her education in the construction industry and has joined HSR in a role as Office Manager and Business Development.
Project Manager
Darren Lucas has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry as a carpenter and supervisor working on builds in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Darren has a reputation for ensuring that all site works are delivered to an exacting standard, having worked on important public projects including Flemington Racecourse, Museums Victoria, and the Queen Victoria Building in Melbourne City.
Site Supervisor
With 10 years’ experience in the building industry, Owen completed his apprenticeship in Brick and Block laying with HSR Group during which time he also became a highly competent solid plasterer. Owen has supervised HSR Group conservation projects in Western Australia such as the Shipwreck Gallery Museum in Fremantle, the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Building in Fremantle, and St Francis Xavier Cathedral, Geraldton. Owen was also Site Supervisor on the Fremantle Town Hall conservation works.
