Heritage Trades Workshop – Pirie Chambers Broken Hill Stage 2

This ten day training workshop is aimed at developing the knowledge of heritage trades amongst people who are working in the construction industry. The program will extend their understanding of heritage roofing, carpentry and painting.

The program will extend their understanding of heritage roofing, carpentry and painting. 

Training
Led by Keith McAllister of Applied Building Conservation Training (ABCT), the training will provide participants with the following theoretical and hands-on experience.

  • Heritage Metal Roofing
  • Heritage Carpentry
  • Heritage Painting
  • Reconstruction of heritage verandah to the facade of Pirie Chambers.

Location
Pirie Chambers, Broken Hill

Travel 
We ask that all participants arrive on Monday 5th August 2024, to attend the meet and greet at 7:30am sharp.
Departing Friday 16th August at midday.

The cost of training will be:
Course Cost (including lunch and light refreshments) – $1,200.

Accommodation
Participants will need to organise their own accommodation.

Catering
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided daily.

This is a great opportunity for construction workers (up-skill), homeowners and heritage professionals.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion in Heritage Trades.
